Period Panelling

Wainscot Interiors offer a bespoke service for period panelling styles in either a painted or hardwood finish.

Created from a historical range of period mouldings and features, almost any blend can be assembled to suit a client's individual requirements. To give examples of the possible choices available the illustrations shown in this section are of a Georgian / Wren style panelling. Each arrangement of a painted style panelling incorporates flat and broken Pediments, with a combination of inset and raised mouldings. These are meant as a guide only but give an ex cell lent vision of what can be created. We also offer earlier and later styles of Oak panelling from the 16th to 18th century, ideal for enhancing hallways, libraries and studies.

The Tudor and Stuart style of panelling using a flat, parchment or linen fold panel lends itself to carved decoration which are available with various freeze rails and moulding details to enhance the design.

All styles can be manufactured in either dado or full height panelling to allow you the choice of combining with other wall covering and fabrics to create elegant interiors.
